Fitness, faith, and family. Posted on September 8, 2013 If you are reading this, then I am already dead. I leave behind a family of disgruntled individuals, a business with a partner that I can’t stand and our finances in ruin, and a church that hasn’t seen me in years…
Because that life is over for me. Where I find myself now is the reason for the words before you. I’ve often found that the past is only important as a lesson, or a resume. The time we live in is now, and we’re constantly preparing for the future, so let’s start there.
A balanced life is, in essence, the perfect modicum of necessary ingredients spiced by unique experiences. My life, for now, is in a balance. My Zen consist of a job that I love at a place that I love with people that I love. It’s also my hobby, my passion, and my gift to others. Outside of this, I work, I build, I spend time with my family and my pets. I have faith in ample supply, and I worship and pray to a God that is as real to me as anything.
But how do we live in balance? In a world that pulls you to one end of a spectrum, where is enough really enough? I dunno.
But here’s what I recommend:
Pray first. Think with your brain second. Listen to other people third.
Going forward, I hope to push a little of my knowledge of a balanced life out to you. How we run our business, how we operate as a family, and how we stay balanced have been a long time coming, so if we can shorten your journey to it, Amen.
