Flexibility and mobility are so important in a persons life, especially as they get older... but they are some of the most overlooked portion of fitness. I'm not exempt from this... I'm probably one of the worst. It's just a bother to take time out of the day to sit still in an uncomfortable static stretch position and flex. It's also super important... injuries are most often going to occur where the soft tissue is over-strained. Take some time and prevent injuries (in workouts and in life) by taking a few minutes each day to maintain your body, it will thank you.
