This morning (after a night of very little sleep due to the little one deciding that it wasn't a night for rest) I realized ho lucky I am to remain in fairly good health. Sleep deprivation can cause some fairly serious issues with athletes, so make sure you're eating right and getting some rest. This week is going to be crazy as people cook, drive, drink, and fight off sleep as they try to squeeze in extra time with family... pay attention to your body. If you're tired, rest, you may just save your life.

Thanksgiving week. There is some major food prep going on all over the place. It's unfortunate that I have to abstain from pumpkin pie, chocolate pie, pecan pie, sweet potatoes with marshmallows on em, sweet tea, and ice cream with apple pie. Sometimes strength of will takes a lot more than you realize.
Stay strong, remember that you have to make up for that food somehow, and eat in moderation.
Thanksgiving is only a few days away, the weather is rotten, and it's wet everywhere. Despite all that, workouts will continue! Thursday we're closed, Friday we have a 9AM WOD, but the rest of the week is business as usual.
I hope you have some big plans for the week. Go see family, give some people hugs. For a lot of families, this may be the only chance they get to see each other for some time, so keep on smiling!

A week from now you'll be having your last WOD before Thanksgiving! For some, that meal is the best and worst thing of the year. Just remember: all things in moderation. (unless you're doing No Sugar November, then it's all things except any kind of sugar, period.) :)
Also, next Thursday we're closed. Friday, for those that aren't out of town or hungover or pukey because you ate so much, we'll have a 9AM WOD, then adjourn to our respective family gathering points for more turkey and stuffing.

In honor of USAF SSgt Timothy P. Davis, 28, who was killed on Feburary, 20 2009 supporting operations in OEF when his vehicle was struck by an IED.
