BATTLE OF THE BOXES is this Saturday at CrossFit Cleburne! Who wants to go? It's open to absolutely every athlete, no matter your age, size, ability and it's FREE! If you have been nervous about signing up for your first competition, this would be the perfect event to start with! If you have already done some competitions, then you know how much fun this will be! Each athlete will only do one WOD and then we will spend the rest of the day eating and getting to know other CrossFitters in our community!
CrossFit Cleburne is requesting that each box brings a main dish (MEAT!), side dish, and dessert. Obviously if we are a box that brings 10+ athletes, maybe we could throw in 2 of each. And bring a cooler of your favorite beverage.
The WOD on Saturday:
8 minute AMRAP
25 double unders (or 75 singles)
7 thrusters (95/65)
1 burpee... add 1 burpee each round.
***The score will be total reps.
If any athlete needs to scale the weight on the thrusters that is absolutely an option... remember this is a fun community event and we want EVERYONE to be able to participate.
The top 5 (as prescribed) scores from each box will be averaged together and the winning box will hang the BATTLE OF THE BOXES banner with pride!
Athletes must be at CrossFit Cleburne by 9:30am and the first heat will kick off at 10am.
Please email Jen (firstname.lastname@example.org) ASAP (by 5pm on Wednesday at the latest) to RSVP and to let her know what you plan to bring for food! She has to give the event coordinators an idea of how many people are going.
